We also conducted an interactive health-education workshop for students at a Model Power Academy in Nsawam by the support of Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana. We focused on topics that are critical for young people’s wellbeing and development.
Our workshop covered:
• Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs): causes, prevention, symptoms, and treatment
• Teenage Pregnancy: health risks, social impacts, and prevention
• Myths vs. Facts about Sexual Health
The session encouraged open dialogue, provided evidence-based information, and equipped students with practical tools to make healthy, informed decisions. By empowering young people with knowledge, we aim to reduce stigma, prevent health risks, and promote a future generation that is confident and health-conscious.
The contributions given by friends and families enabled us to pay the school fees for 10 young girls who would otherwise have dropped out of school.
Our Commitment
Both initiatives reflect our broader mission: partnering with existing organisations in Ghana, strengthening community health, promoting education, and ensuring that vulnerable or underserved groups receive the support and information they need to thrive. We remain dedicated to creating practical, sustainable, and compassionate solutions that uplift individuals and strengthen entire communities.
