As part of our commitment to public health and social justice, Bridging Families launched a community initiative to support incarcerated individuals at Nsawam Medium security prison with essential hygiene supplies. Lack of access to toiletries in correctional facilities can increase the risk of infections and significantly impact personal wellbeing.
Through community partnerships and local donations, we successfully collected and distributed detergents and hygiene materials to help enhance infection control practices within the facility.
This project not only helped improve day-to-day living conditions, but also highlighted the importance of dignity, cleanliness, and equitable access to health-supportive resources for everyone—regardless of their circumstances.
